These
mines are for classroom use and for field training in limpet mine
countermeasures against mines placed on vehicles and steel tanks, and mines
placed below the waterline on a ship's hull. They have a limited reuseable life
under certain training conditions. For instance, in disruptor (water cannon)
training, you may seriously damage or destroy the inert training aid with the
first shot. However, hook-and-line training will probably not damage the
training aid at all.
These
inert limpet mine training aids contain simulated explosive and powerful
magnets. Their shipping weights range between 2 and 1O pounds (about 1 kilogram
to 4 kilograms). Their weight is partly determined by the container size, magnet
size and internal simulated explosive charge. Shipping charges, handling,
customs duty and customs brokerage (where applicable) are extra charges and are
all added as line items to the invoice.
